Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Bad leadership teams are the cause for reorgs

When will this co realize that when a dept is so bad they need a reorg, its not the low level employees who are responsible, its the people in leadership making all the bad decisions that are the problem!.

Do you honestly think your going to fix all the problems in a dept if all you do is shuffle everyone around but keep the same bad decision making leadership teams in place? Time to clean house. This means DIRECTORS TOOO, Marketing!.

If AG is smart, she’ll stop listening to her d-mb Marketing leadership team and instead rely heavily on the smart leadership team she just brought over from ET.

Marketing leadership needs to be held accountable for the bad situation they created but they won’t as long as AG continues to listen to her botox besties

Its been impressive, how leadership here has turned the most sought after employer in the insurance industry into just another run of the mill, high turnover, generic insurance company so quick.

Destroying a 100 year culture so quick took talent.

They keep leadership in the tight circle and literally are puppets to consultants and third parties. They have gone way too far in the that game at the expense of employees and customers and potential customers Directors literally know nothing. As long as their little reports show savings or technical debt reduction they get big bonus. Sickos

We dominated in the past, and are living off that wealth now. We follow now, not lead.

Weve only lost market share, and you know that, but keep cherry picking the few metrics (how very state farm of you btw) that still show us in the #1 spot, despite now three competitors are breathing down our neck, vs 1 in the past.

So you will likely call it DOMINATING right up until that #2 spot becomes a reality, and then youll pick a new metric to tout our greatness as we continue our decade long march to being a medicore run of the mill insurance company, versus the dominant industry leader we use to be.

And yet with all that poor leadership SF continues to dominate the industry, is among the leaders in customer satisfaction and the envy of competitors….

Poor leadership has been a major issue for a while now, and seems to be the only position in the company that isnt held accountable for it.

So true for marketing! Look around you A.G. Your direct reports are the ones who made all the Bad Decisions you were brought in to fix. We all know they’ve tricd to place the blame on analysts, but you’ve been at this company long enough now to know analysts have no decision- making power. Your direct reports are enjoying the laughter they are gettimg by continuing to make you look foolish thinking they aren’t the problem. As long as you continue to listen to P.M. and the director group whisper into your ears, you will continue to look foolish. If you just take a minute to think, without any of them in the room. you’ll realize they are the source of your problem. But like previous poster says it won’t happen because someone above the peons would have to take responsibility andthat will never happen .

never going to happen because that would require someone other than low level employees to accept responsibility and acknowledging the issue is not enough , heads have to roll , there needs to be consequences for leadership, but it wont happen instead low level peons will be expected to accept consequences instead.
