@c7 just because thats common doesn't mean it will be the new normal. Most people do next to there but push paper and look busy. They just let go of top producers and want to streamline everything with less people. They dont need 50% of the people.

@c3 there's a lot of bloat at the Manager and Director level. They could drastically cut from those levels and still be able to function.

@br When was the last time the company had a headcount Of 5,000…ever? 7,000 was our steady-state for some time I think. The company simply won’t be able to function at that level. Not to mention all the institutional knowledge they’ve ki-led. This is real short-term thinking.

@bz there was never 700+ in a single wave.

@br I've heard that number too but realistically it would be too much. Maintaining same deliverables while cutting staff is going to present serious strain on people. My feeling is that some groups are already overwhelmed. 6000 is probably more reasonable.

@bd "Is My Event a Covered Event Under WARN?" search for this on department of labor or simply typing that in google.

@bn They started doing this with pulte fella so starting February of 2025, slightly more than a year ago. With some waves as big as 700+ people but sure be a rude weirdo bud.

@be isn't the target headcount 5,000? started the year with 7,000.

@bd some of you are so lazy and illiterate that I don't know how did you get employed in the first place. Ask LLMs. Understand the nuance. Notice the pattern. Company has been doing the same dance for two years now and you fools still don't understand anything.

I heard 1000 is the target for now. Don’t know if this 300 already cuts into it.

Last year they didn't wait for 90 days.

Yeah in no way do they have to wait 90 days.

@a4 There are all sorts of nuanced rules when it comes to WARN notices. Look it up. They are basically dancing around them not to trigger the notice.

Why the 90 day wait?
