Thread regarding Intuit Inc. layoffs

Please learn from this. Take all of your sick time, days off in lieu of holidays worked, don’t sacrifice time with your family or doing things you enjoy to give extra time and effort to the company. You are just an expense to them. You will always give more than you will get in return.

I would say take this as a huge warning sign about the company's health and overall strategy. I would not be surprised if there are more layoffs in the next 2 years. I would take all the time to start preparing - either start padding your emergency fund, aggressively save, and consider looking for external opportunities. An aftershock layoff will happen, whether it's through performance based layoffs or larger cuts.
