Pi----f news: ShitTel promise on 7A chips again

Rumors ShitTel started on future 7A node while it still cannot deliver on 18A or 14A nodes.
Are they going to layoff all employees working on 18A or 14A soon? How come layoff board not have any announcement?

All Intel promise and commitment is 3-5 years away.

Grok and xAI already died.

I bet this is 7nm node that Intel couldn't fab 5 years ago. Why now?

@bn The nice thing is Elon can have Terrafab engineers take over all the parts Intel engineers get stuck on and feed it into Grok. Training on all that data is an incredible advantage for xAI.

@bg That is probably what Elon is asking for AI5 but there is no way Intel has the expertise to do that anymore especially while trying to bring up new nodes. I'm sure there are 15 layers of management preparing PPTs explaining how it is just 6 months away however.

Rumor is that TSMC is in discussions to have Intel convert either 7nm or Intel 3 to a standard PDK, so TSMC can outsource substantial wafer starts.

That frees TSMC fabs too move to newer nodes.

Intel was the first TSMC customer and used them extensively for many years when TSMC was struggling to survive. People (mistakenly) act like they are in some kind of cage-match competition or something. It is no different than the fact that (prior to the datacenter push) most of the NVDA engineers came from Intel.

It is making news to pump stock. If no new news, Intel stock will drop 20% per week.
