I am a current employee who is on a job reassignment because the depression and anxiety caused by the call center was so severe, I seriously considered su----e. This company has no regards to the way it causes distress in people particularly in the call center environment. Now im being told that the job reassignment wont be extended because of lack of job openings. And I was once asked in an internal interview what my disability was. Im seriously considering suing this company. Im not sure if I can or do I need to quit or wait for the inevitable layoff to happen?

Well there is a hiring freeze right now. I'm in medicare intake & its not any better. They care about numbers more then the mental health of the employee. All we hear about everyday is PEGA. I hate it here.
@df the anxiety was so bad answering calls, I had to start transferring calls and I was told by my people leader its call avoidance. It waa either that or get a panic attack on the call. They wouldn't allow me to get off the phones. I had to go on job assignment but there's no other jobs listed because the company decided to restructure and eliminate jobs. Im sc--wed.
Was it the customers and having to speak to them causing you this? If so, I hope you can find another position that is not customer facing. I personally could not handle being customer facing as I myself have very severe anxiety. It’s concerning if you’re at the point of considering su----e. I felt this way at this company for about a year but it was because of a very VERY toxic leader I had to report to who was he-l bent on ruining everyone she encountered. Perhaps you’re not in the right department and I pray you find the fit that is the one that makes you happy and not feel how you have been feeling.
Document everything and make them fire you, don’t quit.
