Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen signed a new state-level WARN Act into law. This legislation requires employers with 100 or more employees to provide 90-day advance notice. The notice applies to mass layoffs and covered business closings. Affected employees or their representatives and the Nebraska Department of Labor must receive this information. The new law will become effective on July 18, 2026.
