Hearing rumours that some in France aka the Outshift team in Paris were impacted. Obviously RIFs in France are costly given the worker rights so it may just be baloney but anyone know for sure?
What business units and teams hit
@e7 afaik it was said recently it's going to be 40 people in Poland
no one knows if they still wirk at Cisco in Poland
Sara walker announced consultation in UK so this implies a large number
@e8
from what I hear so far, CX and engineering are hit the most. Poland being CX heavy might feel it more than other places this time.
@e7 I am wondering which type of roles.
@dx
"more than 30, but we have no idea how much yet"
Same pattern every time:
About 3k employees in Poland, less than the global 4% will be fired (PL is still cheap).
let's say 3% of 3k, so expect 90-100 people to go.
Miłego dnia.
@dp the number may be bigger. 30+ requires this process they announced. So we know is more than 30, but we have no idea how much yet
They just announced layoffs in Poland few minutes ago (30+ people will be affected)
"Change is the ONLY constant", says C Patel, CTO EMEA, VP Tech. Survive Cisco's Disco chair with that venerable sacrosanct mantra on your lips. From your lips to God's ears, aka, CP's ears.
It started in Switzerland, Scandinavia, etc.
Few colleagues were affected.
