Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Stop being chicken

Those who got laid off, pick up the damn phone and call the employment lawyer. Those who were managed out by your sickening managers who gave you fake IM performance review, pick up the damn phone and call the EEOC and labor department. Fight back!

All the attorneys I contact are contingency based.
They work for wrongful termination.
They ask you about your salary level.
They aming for two years of salary as payment from Wells.
And by the way, once you settle, you are not allowed to talk about it, It's one of the terms in the settlement. That's why you don't see those posting here.

"Its so unfair" isnt a complaint any lawyer is going to take.

You need a documented case they broke the law. Broke. The. Law. Documented...meaning document it before you get fired.

Shocking though it is to some people here...They dont need a reason to fire you. Employment is at will.

Wells Fargo has deep pockets and an army of attorneys that would squash any lawsuits of this type if an attorney even agrees to work with you. If you also have deep pockets, go for it

One pattern that has played out, if you didn't get a raise and/or were given "needs improvement", you are likely on the list for next round of cuts. It's held true for our area. It's the same pattern, rinse and repeat. The reviews are not really reviews. It's a paper trail to justify what they are doing. It's dirty.

First, call the employee Ethics line and file a complaint. It's anonymous. Second file a complaint with the EEOC. Also, yes, some attorneys will take you case on a contingency basis. I was able to find 3 in my area using Google (AI).

No attorney will take this type of case on contingency, because there won’t be any payout.

If you want to pay an attorney yourself, you can find one to take your money to tell you what’s been said on here over and over - with at will employment there is no legal recourse unless you can prove that your displacement or termination violated protected class. That doesn’t mean you can’t lay off someone in a protected class, it just means that you can’t do it because of their protected class, and you can’t do it disproportionately to any other non protected class.

Great way to go without any compensation or benefits, spend a fortune in attorneys, and end up with nothing in the end. The only one who profits from this is the lawyer.

Sure, make a call, talk to a lawyer, spend three, four, five years twiddling your thumbs and the lawyers are the only ones that make out. Good advice, you must be a lawyer.
