Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Offshoring and Visa Fraud

A lot of interest in offshoring and visa fraud. Would be great to get a YouTuber to do an expose on what Exxon is doing. They could visit some hotels near to campus in the morning and see the huge number of Indians in business trips to Houston and then also all the ones driving into campus who are expats to the US.

@rq, we’re not talking about Canada’s sui-idal immigration policies. The topic was visa abuse using business trips to conduct work. Canada excels at examining people at the border and making sure their meeting agendas complies with the type of visa they are using.

@c5

it’s so easy for indians to immigrate to canada that a common us immigrate strategy is to immigrate to canada first and then the us from there

also do you research then you’ll find huge communities openly discussing it on reddit and facebook and many other places like. they have zero fear of openly discussing immigration fraud because nobody punishes it

It’s public knowledge that the H‑1B system has been heavily misuses by the massive volumes of Indian applications every year. Indians get more than 80% of H‑1B visas in "lottery" meanwhile highly qualified immigrants on OPT with MS/PhD degrees from US university can’t get the visa and use EB1/EB2 applications.

They are some of the most negative people when it comes to colleagues they don’t see as “useful” or “powerful.” They immediately look for whoever has authority and start kissing up to them. When I first joined EM, so many of them came to me saying, “XOM isn’t good, why did you join? It’s not a place for a career.” And I always asked them, “Then why are you still here?” They do everything in their power to bring their own friends and family into the company, yet they’re also some of the most unpleasant colleagues I’ve ever worked with.

Are you kidding? It wouldn’t be hard to prove at all. Go to any of our US manufacturing sites. They’re on the org charts because they’re filling entry level engineering jobs!

Big agreement between US and certain families in India . Also I’m not sure I’d be following Canada on anything. I’m surprised the Canadians aren’t forcing mandarin on the population. Also you maybe surprised on some of these things have already gone to court. NDAs all through the corp.

See Canada for what effective enforcement looks like. Make them produce proper meeting agendas and scrutinize at port of entry. It may be difficult to prosecute fraud, but at least make the effort to deter further cheating. And make anyone found to be working file tax returns for the unlawful wages. Don’t listen to the pro Indian lobby who tells you it’s racist or that the law can’t be enforced. Expose members of congress taking pro Indian lobby money.

What about Argentina employees making business trips on tourist visas?

@OP These people are just whining about their employers hiring brown people.

Also, that $100k per visa thing that Trump’s supporters were so excited about turned out to be nothing but smoke and mirrors.

@OP unless you can document what are those Indians doing on campus: hours of meeting etc. It is very hard to prove visa fraud and I don’t think the federal government will do anything because all the political donations XOM make.
