@1kr Well, it is a great place to work for the manager who doesn't work! There is such a tiered system that some people are living their best lives and others are living their worst! It shouldn't be that way. Then if they ever do get somewhat held accountable they just scapegoat one of their underlings and not only survive but get promoted. It's insane!!
@18m I would argue it’s year round. I got a manager on the Carelon CM side that goes on vacation every other month for 1.5-2 weeks. Comes back, brag, and show us pictures. Leave everything to her lead while enjoying her vacation. Contributes nothing but is protected by her boss while her team suffers. Yea “great place to work” alright.
@186 I think the unlimited PTO folks who do nothing show up even less in the Summer months. It is yacht, beach house and European vacation season!!

The CHRO is ruthless. Be prepared. No one is safe, and if you’ve been here awhile, you’re on the chopping block. He is a company man, his words and his expressions of support for employees ring hollow. He would RIF his mother if it protected his own job.
