Thread regarding CDW layoffs

So Layoffs Thursday?

Seems to be the way we are going... Although kind of shocked it didn't happen before earnings this quarter.

So other than the C-suite where should these layoffs be focused?

Do you think it will touch every department like the first one, a few years ago? Or are they just going to essentially cut whole BUs again?

@av
I was in sales and left with the new GTM.
It was already draining being slowed down in the sales process by internal middlemen following overly restrictive procedures.
I'd have orders entered waiting 24 hours or more on bids to get approved, or Credit asking me to get the blood of the customers first born and DNA from thier buried ancestors to release orders for 6 figures that had urgency due to inventory and lead time constraints.
At my tenure, working with my customers was streamlined because we had years of relationship built and here's leadership ripping and replacing what works because they have to take some type of action to show they're trying to reverse their failures.
Without sales though....no one would have a job...we're not Amazon and everything is priced at a premium to cover the $ to have a dedicated AM that can walk with a customer on thier yearly IT procurement (you think they want to overthink and spend as much time on buying or figuring out what to buy on top of installing, maintaining, and managing?).
With successful tenured sellers now voluntarily leaving, watch how long customers stick around with newbies overcharging because they have too to try to make $ on increasingly worse commission structures. Customers that might push 75-100% of business to CDW can easily push chunks of that elsewhere.

Hopefully it’s all sales, since no one can sell anything at this company lol.
