Cisco had ~86000 blue badges last july. it's about 80K now. Ironically.. i've always heard the company strives for an average of 80K. So we hire and fire..

In the news they said 4000 layoffs equals to 5% of Cisco employees. That means Cisco has 80,000 employees. After 4000 cuts, that would leave 76,000.

It’s a 4,000 cut but I was told Splunk was hit extra hard so I’m more so curious where the 4,000 was applied - heard some amazing engineers who’ve been with splunk since the beginning were let go. Some awful decisions on ciscos part
