Two of the biggest bootlickers and hardest workers in the office just got the 1-1. Years of dedication without any promotions rewarded with getting laid off like a dog. This is what you get for going above and beyond at Cisco :)

Single parent, really struggling at a grade 8 just to afford the skyrocketing cost of groceries after the skyrocketing cost of childcare. That 3% raise I got 2 years ago wasn't enough.
We aren't just workers. We are families trying not to starve during economic downfall.
I was in desperate need for a raise or promotion, so I worked my tail off over the last year, even through evenings and weekends. I worked 18 hour days. My kids would ask me to play with them, but I frequently had to turn them down and tell them if I worked hard enough, we'd have more money.
Just got booted this morning after 16 years. So much for "Pay for performance".
These people are inhuman.
