Unfortunately I got laid off, but I was wondering if we could still use the facilities?
I know we get lifetime discount, but for some reason I heard if you worked here for 5+ years you can still use the facilities like Bo Jackson / NSC
Is that true?

NIKE SPORT CENTERS MEMBERSHIP
What happens to my NIKE Sport Centers membership when I leave NIKE?
NIKE Sport Centers membership end with your termination date.
If eligible, individuals with at least 60 points (as described below) will have a NIKE Sport Center
membership to the Bo Jackson, Coach K and The Nike Sport Centers available on a self-pay basis.
Visit the NIKE Sport Center webpage for information on cost and registration. Nike Sport Center
Member Policies apply.
If eligible, the NIKE Sport Centers will be notified of eligibility; notification time varies based on
termination processing time.
To be eligible for lifetime NIKE Sport Center privileges, you must have at least five years of service with
NIKE and have earned at least 60 points. You earn one point for each complete year of service with
NIKE and one point for each full year of age. NIKE service counts toward eligibility even if there was a
break in service of more than six months. The five years of service requirement is in addition to the 60
points requirement. Example: a 60-year-old employee must have at least five years of service to be
eligible.
The following is not counted as service towards eligibility:
• Any time you worked for NIKE and were an independent contractor.
• Any time that you worked at NIKE but you were an employee of another company (such as a
temporary help firm).
NIKE reserves the right to revoke NIKE Sport Center privileges in the event the eligible employee
(employee with 60 points) becomes employed by a competitor (of NIKE or any of its affiliates) or NIKE
determines, in its sole discretion, that the employee abused their gym privileges in any manner.
Go to the new Lifetime in Beaverton. You’ll never want to use the Nike facilities again.
Age plus years of service means these would get lifetime gym access: 40 with 20 years of service, 50 with 10 years of service, or 55 with 5 years of service.
Why would you want to go back? I’m begging you people to move on from Nike. There will be other jobs and other gyms.
Ha!
Age plus years of service need to add up to 60
@a4 could you explain what you mean by ‘age and years of service’? Wondering what that is and if I qualify?
Or maybe get a gym membership elsewhere so you don't need to go back to the place that fired you? Some great options in the area.
It's also not free even if you have access through retirement.
@OP if your age plus years of service qualify you for “retirement” then yes. Your severance paperwork explains it.
