Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

AI cost

How much is the company paying for using codex and other AI tools? If the bill is high, it will impact the margin. A large layoffs can not be avoided.

The AI bill is not what will hurt Cisco. Refusing to adopt AI fast enough will. The real margin risk is staying slow, manual, and over-layered while competitors automate.

for codex, based on the internally published credit usage data, and assuming a commercial rate, the cost so far since introducing codex would be around 50 million USD. however we have an enterprise account so the discounted cost is probably more in like 15-25 mil range. this is counting since September 2025. there is no token limit per developer but that's why they're going to start enforcing a limit going forward.
