Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

2 hours in office got counted as 1 day

Went in office for only a couple hours connecting with the IP address and HR counts as a compliance on Workday.

While I agree that a certain small percentage will ruin it for us, that will just provide the excuse for further changes, but the goal isn’t productivity or attendance, it’s employee reduction, so maybe it’s a good thing in that the people gaming the system will hopefully be the easy reductions.

Yeah, another mental giant that will sc--w it up for everybody else and will start going to The Office five days a week because we have a coffee badger coming in

@et They're not though. It literally doesn't matter what they'd do, they'll keep turning the sc--ws because the end goal is X amount of attrition, not collaboration.

If there was 100% 3 days a week compliance, they'd move it to 4. If 100% at 4, they'd move it to 5.

It literally has nothing to do with compliance.

@ec I am not in a financial position to give the MC the middle finger nor am I in a life position to go into the office more than we already have to. It's going to be very very hard for me to meet the 60%. I cannot do more. That's why I get so spicy about people doing d-mb sh-t and the broadcasting it in a place that is very clearly watched by HR and legal.

Like people can do whatever they want to but at this point their actions are harming their coworkers. That's what makes me raging angry.

@dp

I don't think so man. I do adhere to RTO but the purpose of RTO is to cull staff. They're making it harder and harder to attempt to keep the attrition at a steady rate. If there was actually some right about of collaboration they would have just figured that out ahead of time and rolled everything out in a sane and workable way. This bank has had different levels of in office, hybrid, and remote for decades before Covid. No, the new system is about attrition, nothing else.

For that reason I actually prefer people don't follow it. I wish I was in a financial place to give the MC my middle finger too.

Some of you are absolutely mental. You know you are cheating the system, then decide to broadcast it?

Don't worry, hours tracking is right around the corner. The small population of these losers will ruin it for everyone.

I like how the MC created a new work culture here at the bank where we all turn on each other. Very productive. It's no wonder nothing is getting done.

Sh-t like this is going to ruin any flexibility with how much time per day we spend that is left.

Yes, we know you can go in for 15 minutes and it still counts. But those that do this are the reason they're tracking hours by IP.

I'm to the point that I hope they just fire those of you trying to game the system so the rest of us can stop paying for your bullsh-t.

I detest RTO, but I detest those that are making my life unnecessarily more complicated because they don't even try to be reasonable about it more than i detest the policy. Everyone knows that the reason they've cracked down and upped the time is because of people who don't even try.

Fu--ing stop it. Please. I do not want to be forced into 5 days a week for 8 hours.

Anytime in office counts as a day. They are tracking hours but have not incorporated that aspect yet in published reporting to employees.
It’s all in the RTO FAQ.
Stop scamming and bragging about it.

The real question is what the minimum amount of time to count as an IP connection is

This isn't a secret, it's specifically called out in the published knowledge articles that the attendance metrics aren't based on hourly tracking. But few people in this company bother to read and would rather make themselves look foolish in their ignorance.
