Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

THEY TALK OUT OF BOTH SIDES OF THEIR MOUTH!

We need all you wfh employees. But, NO, there will be no promotion opportunities for any wfh to move up. To move up you must move to a Hub. Just shut up and pretend like we are going to let you keep your jobs.

@dv

People who actually work at SF know this is the case. The person you argue with is someone from the website, or a bot, designed to spark engagement by being ridiculous. About 60% of this sites threads and responses are this person. Just ignore them, you can tell easily they do not work here. Yes the person who pretends they do nothing while WFH, spams about the pension being taken away, and spams about politics/unrelated things all the same exact person (notice their vocabulary)

So just ignore them, everyone else knows claims cant get a second of downtime without having to explain it, which is how just about every role works now.

Either way, with their decade plus long "we cant hire enough people" understaffing in claims, they need every WFH person they can get, you can only hire so many college grads who move on after a year or two due to how hilariously awful they try to keep customer facing roles, any youve already burned through the labor force of all the hubs, and are facing the same issues amazon delivery is...youve run out of people to turn n burn. WFH is needed at this point if your all unwilling to return to normalcy with the roles (100% unwilling btw)

@cj I also WFH but in Claims, and I work every second on claims unless I’m on break or lunch. So I don’t know WTF you’re talking about and I’m sick of seeing your shitpost.

I love work from home. No commute. Get chores and shipping done on compare hours and catch up on my favorite Netflix shows.

Exactly. Did you notice they are working hard to keep the college-degreed people and helping them move into other positions while para-professional employees are going to be left to twist in the wind? It's the image they are going for, the professional US workforce. Meanwhile, outsourcing to the Philippines. Can't wait to see how that pans out for them once the customer has to deal with that.

I doubt they are coming out with that because if WFH has same job title and class while as in office, they are opening themselves up for a lawsuit for unfair business practices and could go class action.
