Is anyone seeing reqs approved given the current 'hiring freeze' mandate?

I don't consider it a "req" if it will be filled by a contract worker in Eastern Europe or India.
My team is half foreign contractors now. I don't even know what they look like. They are just names in Webex. Devs and Ops folks, probably making less than $30k a year equivalent USD.
Yes, but that's primarily when the individual who held that role resigned.
one. my org had about 10 reqs either already approved or very close to getting approved before the hiring freeze. we had already started interviewing for the ones that were approved and even had offers out. they all got axed with the hiring freeze and we added no one. we fought tooth and nail to get some of those back and we finally got just one req approved maybe two weeks ago. but it is under the condition that we hire in RTP. it makes no sense because everyone else on the team is remote. in fact we have zero member in the entire org at RTP. but that's what we got.
