Haven’t heard a peep from him in quite some time - since the earnings call?

Those outsourcings are generated by cfo, coo and ops. He just signs off the strategy to save money. His is to sell more wholesale so yeah to footlocker, Amazon, Penney whatever. He is a salesman by trade. Nike is getting pounded as revenue is not growing. Dude is trying to unwind the old strategy. If you want cost cuts blame look at the cfo. That’s his job. What do want the ceo to do? If revenues decline costs get cut.
@c9 schmoozing dealers? Which one?
Nike in their hubris they shot down all small independents, mid independents, large independents, small nationals, mid nationals and everyone else that is not their Top 40!!! And then they kept "top 40s" like if they are playing music on the radio station!!
Even among the top 40s JC Penny & Kohls is zombie. Macys & Famous Footwear had their account closed and reopened. Footlocker got bought by Di-k's for 2.5 Billion!!!! That is fire sale!!
That rank of top 40 account is getting slim and weak.
So you have to enlighten me by what you mean schmoozing account. I am sure he can do that in 2 weeks. And he has been on the throne for 18 months!!!
Speaking of Footlocker, I think that they did a good job of hiring Anne Freeman (known as Hebert around Beverton). Because if Footlocker needs to move cr-p load of NIKE then they can hire her son and give a corporate card and he will move mountain of shoes. Like they did it before. LOL
Didn’t know he had an absent father. Might explain the EQ and tears.

@c9 He is most certainly making operational decisions. You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about. Laying off 1400 people and transitioning work overseas is not only within his sphere of influence but something he is leveraging and selling to institutional shareholders.
Schmoozing with retail accounts. Which we need because the product is weak and so is macro.
He is not making operational decisions. Those are delegated. Ask yourself this. Did JD schmooze our customers? He-l no!
That’s why we lost shelf space and distribution. The only business that’s growing is wholesale so let the man sell. Nike direct is not doing well except at off price. The direct model has failed.
Playin Texas Hold Em!!!
Seriously what executive experience does this man have outside Nike and being “tired”?
He’s a former Dallas Cowboys trainer, Nike intern, slick salesman… No CEO substance he’s waaaaay over his head and can’t talk his way out of this one
You all realize EH isn't really part of making these decisions right?
The more time goes on, the more I wonder what he actually does outside of jet set and meet.
We need real leadership to come in and fix the business, not do PR stunts.
EH is a new layer that also doesn't get down to our level and so things at our level will not be fixed.
Hopefully packing his oversized desk.
Artificially inceminating our stock with odd purchases to make up for his leadership impotence, oh I mean incompetence
He was in India
Dodging these layoff threads is my guess. Maybe buying more stock or selling some to finance the purchase of displaced/laid off workers homes sold in distress to bolster his rental fleet. Ain’t no money like the money made off fallen comrades.
