AE’s are going to have a hard time without SE’s to do everything for them.

I missed the call. What changes did he make to SEs? Were they portfolio SEs? What segments etc

Making changes to sales organization right before the earnings seems bad news ahead.

Ditching commercial, leaving to partner led. Making SEs all specialists and in a call center.

He has to make some changes to be seen to be trying to do something to stop the rot. He won’t succeed since nothing will, it’s institutionalized decline at Cisco. Cisco products and software is a bunch of over priced, overly complex, bug riddled cr-p and supposed “solutions” are crapware looking for a problem. If you’re a customer why would you implement proprietary BS like ACI and SDA when you can do standards based EVPN that’s interoperable with other vendors ? Oliver is not an engineer and doesn’t understand these things. Tweaks to the GTM strategy do not cover up the fact that what Cisco sells is complex, overly licensed sh-t these days.
