Will there be layoffs? 🤔

Is the Pope a Catholic? Yes
Do the Osmonds have teeth? Yes
Will the sun rise tomorrow?.Yes

The answer is yes, because they layoff on average 2 times a year.
It is also part of the annual planning. Purging employees has always been part of their operating model.

So yes, there wil be layoffs.

It is not yet clear whether the operations in Cork constitute a designated Center of Excellence, although there has been ongoing hiring activity in that location. Unfortunately, several individuals across Europe have not been as fortunate and have recently been impacted by workforce reductions.

@ap not only they laid off people from Cork that I know, but we already operate as non 24/7 support line.
On the product that I work in, support is only in Manila and Engineers highly located in India and that is... it

Takes days and days to get things resolve because of that, its ridiculous

@ae I have to agree.

There's all sorts of teams in Cork rn. If that's the case that'd be gutting a whole licensing team (both OT and MF products.) That also means our support can't actually be 24x5 - that'd just be NA and Manila. Aside from the additional product intake suddenly.

A reduction I could see. A whole exit means several regions suffer.

Yes. There are stringent OPEX budgets by org for FY27. Company is well underway (many months in) on new operating model starting July 1. Many, many positions are not part of the FY27 model. This includes managers and IC, across all orgs. As another layer, OT has a plan in place around how and where they will employee. They inherited employees from many countries as part of years of acquisition, and they are getting out of some of these employees markets, including Israel and Ireland, plus others. They will no longer hire in these countries and are working to remove through WFR and carve outs current employees. Also part of this hiring model is, as announced with the RTO mandate, outside of sales, ALL new hires must be near an office and work from an office.

Over time, other than sales, all employees will be in-office and OT will ONLY have employees in certain countries.

Overall, including with carve outs to be announced, OT will operate with 12-15 percent fewer employees for FY27.
