I have seen the exact opposite. A lot of teams embracing innovation and trying, even if it fails, new ways of doing things.

Awesome. But too many need micromanaging just to do basic things. Give me a DEI hire to do the work you don't want to do. At least the DEI will appreciate the "not earned" opportunity , unlike those "hard working", "highly skilled" and victimized non DEI.
