I know it’s proverbial horse-kicking, but JD drove the Nike titanic not just into an iceberg, but into rocks at the shoreline.
And that failure points to the board for not taking action to get rid of him sooner.
But Nike is where it is now regardless, and it’s still going to take a long time to claw back a culture that can regain what was lost.
