Fires 40 pct of his direct reports and assumes their roles, including Availability. figures out that most outages occur during change, so now unnatural acts of impossible clairvoyance are expected, with the implication of losing your job due to things out of your control. Need a mulligan. This is the end.

Yes yes. A “macro-manager” is the “the end” lmaooooo
Dan the man is the most incompetent and insecure CIO I've known in my entire IT career. He should be fired. The comments below are from Dan himself. Divisions within Tech org are talking we all say the same thing, oust the CIO!
As he should! The people AD hired are useless and will not push USAA forward and those people then hired people that are just as bad Wipe them
All out Dan!!! JK and his direct reports are a good start
@by are you his direct reports? Talking sm--k on an anonymous forum? Deteriorating trust? Or maybe there’s just sheer incompetence from his direct reports.
@by a macro-manager that’s taking on responsibility? Gosh, sounds hard to respect. Gtfooooo
This happens every couple of years at USAA. When AD came in it was quite a few people gone. Now its DG. In 2 years it will be more..
This is going to tough year or two. Who knows who will be left behind.
Macro-manager, wants to do it all, thinks he knows it all. Does not trust direct reports due to his insecurity. How can we respect this new leader?
Are you okay?
