Find a 9-5 internal job and bounce from that team quickly. There are plenty of don’t have a life people working here, if you find yourself in such a team, find a new team. I used to work all the time, since I left that team I’m M-F 9-5. I do my 8 and go home. My stress has gone way down. No more 80,90,100+hr weeks for me. I’ll still jump in when needed, but it shouldn’t be all the time.
You have to make your own work life balance. Don’t wait for them. Eight a day is all they get. 7 to 3. I’m home by 3:30 every day.
You spent the time to deeply assess the work of "many", to be able to reach that conclusion? Sounds like you are at the top of your own list. Way to go, chief.
@ah and now it has. I have drastically reduced my daily and weekly hours thanks to 5 day RTO and the 8 and skate culture. The “L” of WLB is thankful. Hold that L
