Would they make them axe people on their team first, then they are cut? lol I want to be in those meetings

I know of one individual who had exactly that happen - spent the day delivering RIFs to their team only to then have the same message delivered to them later in the day. No support from HR for any of the conversations. This was about ten years ago, maybe they've changed their ways.
