There’s no way fidelity will layoff a significant portion of the staff. Abby doesn’t want to let her friends go.
The tech teams might be impacted, but with no vbo, how likely is it that there will be layoffs.

as a swe, ai is catastrophically fu--ing sh-t up but everybody has duct tape across their mouths about it because then it gets turned into "oh well you aren't prompting well enough"...
AI can replace a lot of people, we just don’t know how to use it yet. They need managers who have a brain to start with that trend
Big layoff is coming my friend!
From what I have heard, it is shocking to me that the senior leadership thinks that they can cut the business side of staff and have the Tech side people take over that work using AI. Those 2 jobs require very different skills.
While the popular opinion is that AI will reduce the need for tech people, Fidelity has chosen to go in the opposite direction.
Help them Lord to discern right from wrong :)
lol
Whether there was a VBO or not has nothing to do with layoffs.
What makes you think people outside of her senior executive circle are her friends? Small layoffs happen.
