Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Former employee motivational

It’s Sunday and just a reminder you don’t have to live in fear, deal with RTO, the obsessive micromanagement, the constant nitpicking of everything, the extreme cheapness and duplicity.

Use whatever resources are available for training and development and channel those to an external opportunity.

I did it and I’m better for it. This place will survive without you. Or it won’t. Who cares. That’s someone else’s problem. Not yours.

Put yourself first, get up, and walk out that place, and never look back.

@1x7 - not disagreeing, but BTM & Fleet Cronie Friends put themselves above all.

then, the rest can scrapple for the remaining crumbs.

How do they keep getting away with this?

The most inept "leaders" (choke, cough, gasp) who think they work on "Wall Street"

hahah :-D the street laughs at them.

But they just keep getting richer. (how many wings on their houses, and how many houses, do they really need to escape from their spouses and children who disdain them?) pathetic.

@ma you must have missed the memo boa doesn’t do what’s best for the shareholders they have a more holistic altruistic approach to responsibility in business I heard Moynihan say it once so it has to be true they consider what is best for the grunts just as much as stockholders and even boa board of directors. /SARC

I also just recently left the bank and I’m so happy I left. Grateful for the people I worked with, but will never go back to BofA, or any corporation that solely exists to please their investors. Would never push anyone to make such a life changing decision, but in my opinion, the writing on the wall is clear as day - let people leave on their own accord to avoid bad press and paying severance, continue to invest into AI to decrease overall headcount over time (to increase profit and further please investors), while making the people who stay lives more difficult until they walk out or AI replaces them. All the while not providing any decent pay to keep up with inflation, and the same bonuses and/or RSU’s year over year. Bye Felicia 🫡

Never looking back also includes no longer visiting a layoff board related to your "old employer."

Sounds to me like you are either seeking validation that you made the right choice in moving, or holding on to resentment. Either way, it would be healthiest to move on.
