The HR policy for in office attendance was actually much lower than people manager made it seem like. I don’t believe that will cause anyone to be laid off unless people were actually not showing up.
@az - my site that is all phones is just staying 50/50 for the next year or so... and then supposedly 100% even though there's no room
Doesn't make sense when they are literally making an entire organization (phones group) go to 1 week a month while the rest of the firm goes full time

We don't have to badge anywhere at our campus, just the front door. But interestingly the interiors still contain the RF technology used to track the whereabouts of ill employees during covid

Like, if you leave and work on the train for the last few hours of the day so you can get home at a normal hour? What if I work on the train in the AM since my meetings start at the crack of dawn?

Also, how messed up is it that we are full-grown adults and we are letting the corporate overlords track all of our movement during the day? Not for safety reasons or to secure the building, but to actually track your constant movement to try to ding you. Pretty soon we will have to badge into the bathrooms. They are making it so you have to badge into the lactation rooms so they can track who is lactating and how long they are lactating, because if they have that data on you, they are going to #TrackIt!
I was told not to work at The Beanery since that counts against my in-office time because I am outside the badge wall. No meetings at the seats outside during the summer. No walking meetings to get coffee outside on a nice day for one-on-ones… do not leave the badge wall!!! If you do, bad things will happen…
New Hampshire, I love you, but walking/running trails are now canceled. You can see them—they are there—they are really nice… but don’t use them. It will count against you. Don’t walk to the other building—run… otherwise, Fid Mommy might think you are slacking off. Also, DO NOT buy food outside the badge wall—only drink the cr-p coffee and no-salt meals Fid Mommy provides you. Fid Mommy not only wants all of your time, she wants you to spend all of your money on her food.
But you could, while logged in, watch hours of YouTube in the bathroom while po----g… You could just not do any or minimal work all day, every day… as long as you are badged in, since Fid Mommy will be happy and you can have all green checks and a waffle party all your own.
Everyone should quit. If everyone walks, what would they do? They would actually have a real problem. Even if 50% walked, they would have a problem. Anyone who can walk should, so the rest of the folks who can’t can get justice.
