Given the current situation of our declining revenue and IP being less than attractive for an outside buyer, how much longer do we have until this ship sinks?

The majority of BMC employees are close to retirement. Compensation doesn't matter when you couldn't care less anymore what your PE employer does or doesn't offer.
@kp anything X 0 = 0
Does anyone know if BMC has this wonderful Employee Ownership program? I'm sure everyone from the beginning should now be fully vested ..........
@cv kkr should probably break up Omnissa’s product lines as with BMC. They do not all have the same growth potential. And for those with growth potential they need to install a GM with that type of a mindset.
As long as there are inept CIOs that don't consider modern alternatives to our old software apps, there will be revenue from the installed base that is shrinking slowly. Meanwhile, KKR will manage Omnissa's decline by ongoing cost cutting. They can do this for many more years. For example, KKR has owned BMC Software for over 7 years, and they have continued to decline during that time. Zero potential buyers means private equity owners are not happy, but they have no choice but to manage the ongoing decline.
