Do the not read the room? Folks are constantly worried about layoffs. Can’t afford groceries with the minimal raises and no promotion opportunities but hey donate to the PAC.

Eliminating American jobs impacts PAC. A large portion of the workforce are ineligible to donate. H1-B and offshore (non nationals) cannot.

Elevance has bad STAR ratings and is non-compliant with submitting their cr-p data for Medicare. Instead of fixing the data- and hiring and rewarding people who know how to do that, let's pressure our employees to contribute to the PAC so we can lobby CMS to change the rules regarding our cr-p data. Let the people who made the mess be held accountable. They are still getting their big paychecks and bonuses, why should everyone else have to chip in for the lobbyists? Maybe they can sell some stock, or a beach house or a yacht!!

From the web.....

Lobbying Focus: Elevance lobbyist activity focuses on policies that directly impact their business, such as Medicare Advantage funding, risk adjustment calculations, and Medicaid operating margins.

Recent Lobbying and Legal Action: In 2024, Elevance filed a lawsuit against the federal government, calling changes to the Medicare Advantage star ratings methodology "unlawful". In 2026, the company was in negotiations with CMS regarding potential sanctions.

2026 CMS Sanctions Dispute: CMS has threatened to suspend new enrollment for certain Elevance Medicare Advantage plans effective May 30, 2026, due to alleged noncompliance with data reporting requirements. Elevance is utilizing "productive dialogue" with CMS to resolve this issue and has seen some plans exempted from these potential sanctions.

Legal Action & Lobbying: Elevance's lobbying and legal teams are actively trying to mitigate a potential $350 million to $1.5 billion financial liability from the CMS data submission dispute.

Oh, just donate and move on. Gotta have a PAC to pay homage to our dear leader to get those regs in our favor. Or should that be the favor of the stockholders?
