@mr Get my wife to do it. Thats a good idea.
This is actually a great point. I doubt Cisco will ever cross the threshold and admit that a certain identifiable subset of employees engages in outrageous levels of bigotry.
In SBG, the marginalization of folks not part of this group has been obvious and ongoing for a while.
Google admitted it. They fought it for a long time too and then finally, their CEO had to lay it down for the whole company...caste discrimination was finally recognized and forbidden.
Cisco is a laggard in all things, they still cling to the outdated notion that bad behaviors are the exclusive characteristic of white males
@OP Does conscious culture training include shaming South Asians with an obvious in-group preference to hire other South Asians, but only those of the “correct” caste? If not, why not?
Yay, more yearly “training” to ignore my eyes and validate the crazies playing dress up. CoBC isn’t enough and we’re too cheap to put them together. Suppress the pattern matching I spent my entire career refining. Newsflash, “they/them”: cut the s.ssypr0n. It isn’t healthy. I hate this training and have my spouse take it to give a laugh.
@hg > yes you have, because your completion is mandatory yearly
Maybe in the US, but I have never done one. They hassle me to do them and I get escalating emails threatening that the window is closing. Then, two weeks before the deadline, the pestering emails stop and I hear nothing more.
They want to hint it’s important, but they know that a newspaper story showing Cisco dragging employees into Sunday school for bible studies isn’t a good look and they know it.
I've never done a single one of these trainings, not one.
yes you have, because your completion is mandatory yearly and is recorded and your manager is instructed to require your completion
no one likes this cr-p, but we all have to complete it
I've never done a single one of these trainings, not one.
for this training all I needed to see was just the section titles so I muted it and clicked thru and guessed at all quizzes saying random answers. I got quite a few shocked emojis on my answers but I didnt have to listen to this vomit. Lets see if Im here in a month.
I rather enjoyed cheering along this year's video
For once they featured an older woman as the villain in a predatory scenario....newsflash Cisco, in the real world, the young guy would have rode that like the Kentucky Derby
there was also the obligatory tr@ns scene which just made me laugh out loud...why am I expected to confirm someone else's delusional state?
@a4 Yikes! Loud and wrong. Globally we know who's the worst. Im sure white men are the main demographic submitting responses and spewing racist comments on this site. Notice how its rare to see the slurs for whites mentioned here? But the minorities are always dragged through the mud. If yall paid more attention to your mental issues than you did to minorities, the world would be a better place.
@be HR is with P.tels/People in power. If you are one of them, nothing can stop you. HR is never with employee (never will) even if you are s.xually abused on or off work place by your b.ss.
In cx we have the person, neeraj, who has many hr cases opened against him- some of which are from female subordinates. Nothing ever happens to that to-ser. HR is a joke.
I wish they would do it like one of those police re-enactment videos...stories from Cisco HR: what not to do. Or maybe 'To Catch a Predator' style?
@a4 do you have reading comprehension?
@a3 “white man” isn’t the cause of all of your problems, stop redirecting your own anger issues. Straight White Men and Women are the group experiencing the most racism against…they are not the racism aggressors. Straight White People don’t want anything to do with you, so just stop embarrassing yourself more.
