Can’t wait for their AI bubble to burst on their faces. It is a matter of time.
We all know how the sausage is made. But you essentially blacklist yourself if you were to call it out. It's not AI. It's offshoring, it's H1B (which is ok, but we DO have the tech labor, I believe in globalism just not globally to executive pockets).
Corporate Executives keep praising saying we are doing “AI!” But why can’t we just be honest about what is really happening?
If we all know it's a game, why do we have to play? And smile and say thank you? Why can they not admit they are not only unable to understand process, but effectively execute change?
You laid off a bunch of people, boosted executive comp, and brought in contractors. You didn't do anything.
Do the executives REALLY take pride in that? They are delusional, sociopaths, narcissistic or all of the above.
Does the board know? Do they care?
Because if the board doesn't care, and we all know what's going on, then why say it's AI?
Corporations control the government. Why would you care to not just say "We laid off 20% of our work force, replaced them with contractors". How many people really believe the facade any more? Who are you lying for and why?
Or, why do you think you're doing "AI" you're that disconnected? You said "lets do an AI" and someone else said "We're doing it" and you tell the world that you're doing it?
Or are you gaming foreign investors and banks? Because it's not for employees.
Layoffs. Corporations that get a tax credit for job creation: How about a tax penalty for job cuts? If we are not careful we are going to end up having to fund universal income. All because of this obsession with “AI,” which is not really being done by most corporations in an effective way.
Wall Street doesn’t care, they just want to hear about endless investment in AI. All about the revenue per employee metric these days… then again will we have to include AI agents in that headcount now??
