Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Speaking out

Sharing a resource that offers a perspective on workplace culture and management practices. This story, written by a former BNY employee, provides insight into experiences with abusive management that may resonate with others.

While many of the stories currently highlighted relate to Citi, particularly in light of recent news around harassment, the themes are not unique to one organization. They reflect broader challenges that can exist across institutions.

If more individuals at BNY were aware of or comfortable sharing their experiences, it is likely a wider range of stories would emerge.

@j0 Robin Vince is a total POS. Doing employees dirty is an understatement. Many of us long tenured employees were indeed pushed out with bogus performance ratings, leading to PIPS and ultimately to separating from the cesspool of BNY without severance. There is a special place in h#ll for him

: @j0 I'm not sure I understand. You say you left a comment. Did you create a story? I've read several regarding RV and the Company's approach to laying off people with bogus reviews and offering limited to no severance. I believe the site is very active right now, so if you wrote a story, it will be read. Thank you for helping to raise awareness about this disgusting practice.
