Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Should people who received BE rating this year consider leaving Intel?

Heard quite some percentage of people get it

It’s done by favoritism and personal likes/dislikes. All the truly underperforming people were long gone couple years ago. Managers have been encouraged to give BE wherever possible to help meet the attrition targets so people leave without them having to give severance.

Even if you got EE or promoted you should consider leaving Intel. Don’t be fooled by results things are looking better it does not mean the underlying problems have been fixed.

If they set it as a percentage, it’s not really BE…. It’s where you are in the bell curve. OKRs are never to be ‘average’ in your group. There’s also a lot of favoritism going on when it comes to scoring in 2025.

If you got a BE, challenge it by asking questions and for evidence. The burden of proof should be on the person who gave you the BE.
