Capacity Tracking

Being asked to track capacity (basically a spreadsheet of hours on various tasks throughout the month)

Anyone else salaried but being asked to do this? Seems like they're checking for "redundancies"

Wow - it’s he the “Son of DK” and “Bend the Cost Curve” initiative all over again. Both of which went no where with only the external consultants benefiting and laughing when cashing their checks.

I retired in 2020 from Health Services but in 2019 I was asked to track this by my new Director. To my surprise, I learned one other department in the same division did the same task.

It is a thing in IT now too. We got an email from the Project Management area saying we would have to start tracking all of our time spent on specific tasks.

Yep, had to do that a few weeks ago. I always call that kind of thing, "job justification".
