It appears that layoffs may still be happening in pockets, even though the big waves of January and February appear to be over (for now). Are people seeing any examples of this over the past 2 months?
For example, our head of Marketing was let go. Not that we could tell you what he actually did or why he was in the job in the first place. It's just too bad that he got rid of some really good people in January before he was axed.
Ha- so the 2 marketing VPs (Tweedledum and Tweedledee) are both finally gone? It took long enough. They were both such a joke and added no value. Well, they did get rid of some good people so I guess they did something.
@f0 What? Lots of people in Behavioral are still being axed? I’m surprised that’s still going on since Cigna Healthcare makes a lot of profit on that business and it’s already been cut to the bone. Behavioral, pharmacy and dental represent the majority of CHC earnings since we can’t make money on standalone medical.
I heard that a bunch of clinicians in Behavioral were laid off in Jan/Feb which is crazy but I don’t know they were STILL cutting in that business unit. Depressing.
Why would you work for a company like this? Every day just wondering if the ax is going to fall? I got out a long time ago. And guess what? There is life outside of Cigna
They’re axing left and right in behavioral, not even laid off but actually fired and completely out of nowhere, freaking me out but suppose shouldn’t be surprised. Not like they’ll be replaced either, yay more work for us left. This place is he-l.
I know of several people in Enterprise Ops who were laid off a few weeks ago.
