I'm hoping to get advice from Cigna employees as I am desperate to get medication for myself for a terrible autoimmune disease. I have spent countless hours on the phone and just keep getting transferred to someone else or face other delays/obstacles. Any advice for a patient for navigating this?

Good luck. Acreedo is the devil. My husband missed husband auto immune medication for 10 weeks because they kept bouncing him between themselves, insurance and his doctor with hurdle after hurdle. And because they have a monopoly, we can't use another specialty pharmacy...
@11e I just keep owning you. Enjoy telling people to “bootlick”
Winners win
More idiocy out of you. Unsurprising but be sure to let me know about my last day. Assuming you aren't as incompetent with this, as you are with everything else.
@vf yep, sure will. I am discussing with Dee right now.
Wanna bet? 😘
@qq I am sure you will be JEed in the near future. If your leader does their job, fired would be the correct path.
You are hilarious. Remember the last "corporate strategy"? The Drive to 2025!
All we heard about for like two years... then one day, Cordani made an offhand remark about "that's been retired" and we are all supposed to forget about that and go gung-ho for this new one? 😆😅😆
Good thing I spent no time on Drive to 2025 and I'll spend no time on Lead to One. More opportunities to pursue my own interests and less time absorbing this utter fl-tulence.
If you really think it's going to pay off for you, you are even more dimwitted than I could possibly imagine. Like "how do you manage to turn your laptop on in the morning" level.
Have a nice day, bootlicker.
@qg could you say something other than bootlicker that actual drives value.
Maybe if you tried to understand the global strategy or figure out how to execute in your area, your IT worlds wouldn’t be going to he-l…
Could you bootlick any harder over a trite little corporate slogan? Ew.
I have seen similar delays with transfusions, even with the doctor's statement that they are necessary. Cigna and Accredo have public facebook pages and have responded to complaints messages sent that way.
@OP no offense, but this is not Cigna customer service - the intent of this message board is not to field customer questions
This is part of why Lead to One is so important.
@av I agree to try to get a case manager, but with most of them having been laid off in the last two years, that may be difficult. If nothing gets resolved, I would go to the press. There may have others that are in the same boat you are and are willing to go public with the run around you are getting. Next step after that would be a lawyer. Cigna and others like them will always try to deny first, and it is time that their feet are held to the proverbial fire.
@OP do you have a case manager? If not, I would call customer service and ask to be assigned to one. Sometimes that is helpful when you have complicated medical needs because they can help coordinate.
Thanks. I've already jumped through the prior auth hoops, so that shouldn't be the issue. But, every month I go to get the medication they make me jump through more hopes or say they lost my records, they can't fill it, I have a balance - which I already paid. It takes 7-10 days to get Cigna and Accredo on the same page to actually fill and send the meds.
@OP if it’s a biologic for a speciality medicine is usually being denied because the doctor isn’t showing medical necessity
