My director also confirmed 2 new data centers to be built where the current ponds are in front of ashburn.
She didn’t mention any closing date though.

Ashburn to be shut down in 2027. Two new data centers being constructed in front on the “WorldCom” complex, one on each side of the entrance.
@OP haven't heard about Ashburn but Cary Woods took took another role in VzW.
