Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Come on, Ford. You are falling behind.

Amazon: 16,000
UPS: Up to 30,000
CIti: 20,000
Oracle: 30,000
And now SNAP: 1,000

All aboard the layoff train with an 'investing in AI' lie. Instant stock boost with no real product or service delivery while the exec team lines their pockets while failing to perform.

Is this capitalism?

The one area we were most behind - as Jim Farley has made clear - is DEI.

Jim Farley stated very clearly that Ford lagged behind our competition when it came to DEI. He took on this challenge head on. And since then he has improved our DEI significantly.

Now, if Ford is scaling back our DEI initiatives we will lose so much market share and abandon them to our competitors.

@yp this might be one of the only posts you’ve said here that makes sense.

@rm

Yes. You don't claim AI is the reason and then apply for more H1B allocation at the same time. If anything, AI should be nabbing them jobs 1st. When it doesn't and they actually increase, you know it's slight of hand.

Ai is clearly a lie, if they were serious about it they’d have replace a lot of the heads in India with AI, instead they keep adding more….

Layoff are on going, one person at a time. Slow trickle.

“Replacing employees with AI” is corporate speak for replacing domestic employees with outlanders.

Adding Ford Motor Co. to your list. 10,000 for 2026. This will boost the stock price back to $18 per share.
