Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

CyBeRnotSeCuRiTy

Why does this company continue to treat cyber security like an afterthought? Incident after incident, no lessons learned. Hire actual professionals rather than these afterthought staff!

@kb Why have you not been informed? Maybe, just maybe because the alleged victim was looking for $$$ and joined forces with an ambulance-chasing law outfit on a speculative fishing expedition that went nowhere. On Monday, they submitted a voluntary dismissal. So much for the previous in-the-know expert that was listing all the stolen data types.

3rd class action suit filed for March data breach. I am letting people know about this because it was current and former Staples employees whos personal information ( Name, birth date, SSN) that have all been stolen.
To the clown who down voted my last post, why? I am trying to help you before you get hurt.
R Chuckles, was this you? Own your failure.

The Staples class action lawsuit is Carroll, et al. v. Staples Inc., Case No. 1:26-cv-11336, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

This is the class action suit filed from March 11, 2026 attack. Join up if you have been impacted. I find it absurd the company has not notified those employees potentially impacted.

Also read up on the January incident in Canada where returned laptops did not get wiped and were resold.

This one will be costly. Start looking for a new job now before the house of cards comes down.
