Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

U.S Bank is a Circus

Long story short: Our location out performs Portland and especially remote Tempe employees by miles. Everyone knows this including leads and managers. They just don’t do anything about it because the environment simply put is “someone else will do it.” - very bad perspective, but it’s true. They don’t address the lazy people because at the end of the day the job will get done.

During our team meeting today the last remark was “accountability.” Which I thought GREAT! I have literally been bringing this up to management for MONTHS. However it took a turn when it was directed towards us…. The at/above performing location. Followed by the typical avoidant manager phrase of “you each need to hold yourself to high standards.”

Basically what I got out of it is “We know people aren’t carrying their weight. So that is why we are expecting all of you to carry it for them.” What in the clownery is this work environment?

Been there - done that OP :). The senior leadership cares more about what bootlickers are kissing their a—. I imagine the leader in your area isn’t - hence why the standards feel different. Portland used to be great though IMHO, they drove all the real leaders out and replaced them with su-k ups that aren’t qualified.

@j8 I'm decently positive the MC or GK is on this site simply to mock and troll employees. There are constantly responses that are so blatantly stirring the pot.

@f4 lol is that not the whole point of this website - to showcase scenarios and ideas? You got some growing up to do if you think calling someone a “Karen” makes you the bigger person.

@af it’s all under the same umbrella. Lack of leadership/management doing their job. From your phrasing I’d say you’re the one focussed on being down other “fellow workers.”

This is the problem you want to attack other workers. Maybe they are not lazy but fed up and have no desire left. People should stand together and go after the 10 at the top that make life miserable because we out number them but you would rather join them and take down your fellow workers. Bootlicker is the term I am thinking of.
