Not everything on smbc is legacy. For example OT classifies most of it into secure cloud which is a collective offering of email threat protection, encryption, m365 which came with Zix. That bring over 120mil it is a cash cow.
Yeah the carbonite section is legacy software. Rest of is not. The infrastructure is actually good. Buyer could be a competitior in this section or a private equity making it a stand alone company.
any update/..What private equity or even rocket software wants this unit? who wants to sell a $90 product, everyone wants highend AI products. this is like dying legacy businesses

It was stated on a call this week that they are trying to sell SMBC as a single entity. So that will include Zix, Carbonite, Webroot, plus they also moved BrightCloud back under SMBC too.
The claim was that the “package” will be sent out to prospective buyers shortly, and then hopefully a sale could be announced within the next quarter - with this being completed by the end of the year.
No enterprise tech company will buy our SMB/c Cybersecurity. If there is a buyer it’s got to be private equity who will put more focus on the consumer side and just cater to MSPs.
Salesforce aint buying SMBC. It has to be rocket or a spin off.
