Nvidia to buy HP

LOL: Nvidia squashes rumor it’s planning to purchase a major PC manufacturer — says that it’s ‘not engaged in discussions to acquire any PC maker’

Vanguard allows its customers to vote their shares so it’s not as easy as just contacting Vanguard.

Since Vanguard is the owner of HP (they own the majority of HP stock). Then whomever wants to buy HP just has to make an offer to Vanguard.

Nvidia would probably buy HPE before HPI since high end GPU’s are used mostly in servers.

@rw

I wonder if Xerox is going to try to swoop in and "save the day" like they tried doing during COVID. I bet HP is wishing they took their offer in hindsight.

Dell makes more sense with their integrated Enterprise and server together with PCs. HP was stupid enough to split and go separate ways.

No one wants to buy a failing company like HP. No one.

To buy HP as its entirety doesn’t make sense. They would be losing one of their top resources of revenue. There’s a good reason why suppliers don’t compete against their own OEMs: the OEM will protest and probably threaten to do what Apple did to Intel.

But I agree with the comment below. They’re likely interested in one of their business units.

Perhaps they just want to buy/spin off one of our microfluidics business units. If so, the language they used wouldn't be untrue.
