Severance

I was laid off in March. I have been waiting for my severance package but I have not received it yet. How long does it take for the company to mail or email you the severance package or are they not giving severance?

It probably depends on the state you live in, for us, it was a 60 day non-working period with pay. So for 2 months we were paid our normal wages. After that ended, severance kicked in about 2 and a half weeks after the last paycheck. You get that every other Friday and is the same amount as your paycheck for however long you get it for.

As noted, you should have gotten an email to your personal email address with the info. If you don't sign it in time, you waive severance.

You should have gotten an email within two days from Cisive with all of your instructions. They send it to your personal email address. Then you have ten days or so to choose how you want to receive severance - pay period or lump sum. You need to call Human Resources immediately. There should be a separate number for displacements. Good luck
