I did mistake, was all aware something big going to happen but instead of preparing for new role. I wasted my time working hard on task which were unrealistic to finish.

Before coming to Oracle. I worked for a large unnamed, airplane company you can guess the name.
Most of the managers at this company, bullied or retaliated against people. A lot of managers there were also very deliberate in giving tasks to employees they disliked which the manager knew was unrealistic to finish. When the employee missed the unrealistic deadline, the manager had already talked to HR to slap a Performance Improvement Plan on employee that would be impossible to pass. Then after employee failed performance improvement plan, HR would come around with Security to fire employee and have security walk them out for the whole group to see.
The new thought process is, can I get it done with AI or get my existing human to use AI to get the job done.
It isn't a sign of rotten management; it's a sign of companies doubling down on AI.
@bj the assumption that doing your job is grounds for keeping your job is no longer true. It is not just at Oracle either.
