What difference will 6 weeks make? There will be more cuts. Who cares where it fits in the corporate accounting schedule. Here is a prediction: 3 years from now Oracle will have less than 100K employees. Plan accordingly. There will be a variety of reasons but the results will be the same. Here is another prediction: The average age of the workforce will drop by 5-10 years.
