Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Someone’s finally taking the Stank to court over his remat

A former director is suing the company for age discrimination related to the RTO and relocation BS. She specifically cites Stankey’s remarks in 2023 about the employee demographics skewing too old. Too much to ask first but boy would it be awesome if they got nailed for this!

It would be interesting if others try to jump on board and move this lawsuit to a class action status!

I am no fan of lawsuits but this one seems to have merit. I was on the same team at the time of her dismissal and it seemed odd. She was in the same position for years and out of the blue replaced by a lot younger DEI hire. John Stankey made some "Unusual" comments regarding age and was never called on the carpet. The town hall was never published.

Have heard recently of lots of directors being demoted out of level 3. And many to associate director (level 2) where they essentially do the identical jobs. Many are saying being done to relocate the old title out of the location and then can claim their reports have to move to where their new director is for "collaboration". Pay is not being dropped for those demoted although benefits are (as well as future raises) nor is the number of hyrarchy levels being reduced, so there has to be some bigger motive with this. One thing that does change is the amount collected in a package when they leave (forced out). Have heard the option given was "retire at level 3 or take the demotion"

Unfortunately for the rest of people who want this to go somewhere, they'll drag this out for a year and then quietly settle. Easier than opening up a class lawsuit.

Have seen things like this before with same script.

“She earned an ‘Exceeds’ on her most recent performance review.”

This is evidence? LOL

Hit submit too fast. Needless to say Stankey’s a--hattery may finally come back to bite him.
