An analogy if I may. Yes, even amongst the towering redwoods of the forest, a few can be weak and must be culled. But the real threat is all the deadwood amongst the brush on the floor of the forest. This deadwood (many of whom comment on this site) must be constantly removed to keep the forest healthy. Hope that helps.

@gt in wells, can confirm. She is a snake. Masterminded multiple failed digital projects specifically to make her look good instead of actually serving the organization. Behind the most id--tic re-org ever done in wells "organizing for agility". History of promoting her cronies and pushing out actual competent people to make room. Very unpopular. How she survived in VP jobs for over a decade defies belief.
