A lot of managers in STS pushing all team members irrespective of their roles to showcase AI Agents and other AI stuff they have created and are using. A lot of boot-camps happening as well. Are they planning to cut roles soon?

Yes! Cuts will be coming.
Using AI is like training someone to take over your job. You will hear that "AI will free up time for people to do more value-add work". In reality what will happen is that AI will reduce the number of humans needed. Just look at what has happened at Facebook, Amazon, Google, ...
I don't really care about AI. The company is going to start judging my metrics on AI. I'll just do whatever they ask and they just have to deal with the fallout for whatever cr-p it pumps out. It's not like you can go anywhere else and not use AI. Basically the entire industry is doing it now requiring people to use it. I value my job over some fruitless effort to fight against using ai.
No. It’s a dog and pony. AI is going to increase worker demand this year.
I frankly don't understand how they're going to do this.... Schwab is so risk adverse especially with evolving technologies. I don't know what they are trying to accomplish with these AI agents or if they even thought of how this will fit into the current flow. I dont know how much thought has gone into this other than "AHHHHHHH GET AI IN WE'RE BEHIND".
On top of that, Schwab's main customer base is older. I'd bet bottom dollar that they like the fact that they can call and get a human on the other line. He-l, I'm in my 30s and I hate AI on the phone and try to find a human to talk to as soon as possible. I think they're ignoring their main clientele, which is (and this is just a guess) Gen-X, Boombers, and the Greatest Generation. Basically anyone who is 45 or older. Most young people dont' seem to be using Schwab from what I can tell.
This might be an alienating move, but what do I know, I'm on the bottom of the totem pole at the company.
